God's people have always been characterized by giving. Why? First of all, because God’s people desire to follow God’s example. God is a GIVER! “For God so loved the world that He GAVE his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Secondly, we give because God has instructed us to do so. Not because God needs our money, but because we need God’s blessing that results from obeying him in all areas of life, not just in money matters such as giving our “tithes and offerings”.
Over time, the method of giving in our churches has changed. At Rocky Branch, we’ll continue to take an offering during the service for people who prefer to give by cash or check. For those who’d rather transfer money electronically, giving through the church website is now an option.
The system makes it easy to quickly transfer money from a bank account or debit card to the church safely and securely. One-time gifts and recurring withdrawals can both be set up, and gifts can be given either to the church's general fund or a specific church project or event.
